Nku Admissions Essay Examples

Students may retest in areas in which their scores have not met the benchmarks. There is a $10 fee (in addition to a $1.50 processing fee), per subject, that the student must pay if NKU already has a placement test on file. After clicking "Register Now," please choose "Placement Test Re-Test" to schedule.

At the time of the registration, the examinee is required to pay Northern Kentucky University a registration fee of $11.50 per subject. This fee is non-refundable.  If you wish to reschedule, you may do so without a charge 7 days prior to your scheduled test date. If you reschedule after the 7-day grace period, you must register and pay the fee again.

Important guidelines for re-tests are as follows:

  • Students are allowed only one re-test in each subject area.
  • Students must wait 30 days in between testing sessions.
  • Students' placement will be determined by the highest score of the attempts.
  • Students must notify their advisors to make changes to their schedule if their new score places them into a different course.
  • Students may not attempt a placement test re-test after they have already been in the course past the last day to add for the current semester.
